this is the left hand side from yesterday's post, I might have to move the word "love" as I stupidly didn't check where the holes for the posts went.
Stamps used: Paper Artsy Kids Plate, Anita's Seahorse and Heart background.
Inks: Crystal Blush re-inker, Pearlescent Purple and Coffee Brilliance and Antique Linen and Old Paper Distress Inks
I got a nice surprise this morning, Guy came back from Sevenoaks bearing a Pine Green Whispers Dye Ink for me.
Apart from that, I've been busily houseworking, and then took Lydia swimming this afternoon.
We've just had fish and chips for supper, and are about to settle down to a dose of Dr Who.

It's Di's, and is entitled "My Favourite Things". It's drying at the moment, so I can upload it yet, but I am really pleased with it. I've used my seaside type stamps again (yes I know I've been using them a lot, but it does prove that you can do such different things with the same stamps) and also the new Heart by Collage by Anita's I got a week ago.
I had a great time playing with my Crystal Blue Opalite re-inkers - they been put away in the drawer, and it wasn't until I saw a demo on Create & Craft that I remembered them.
I've also used the UK STampers Colour Challenge #4 colours - Garnet, Amethyst and Amber - actually, if I'd been a bit smarter I could have used a Fleur de lis, and knocked Wednesday Stamper Challenge on the head to - LOL!
Our holiday is fast approaching now, and I've suddenly thought just how much I'm gonna miss crafting....so at the weekend I am going to put together a wee travel kit containing, some ink pads, stamps and cardstock. Then I maybe can just do a few things to keep me from having to go cold turkey whilst we are away.
Rob and I had a chat the other night, and he is all keyed up with his responsibilities house sitting whilst we are away....and I think that he's looking forward to having his girlfriend staying for the week.

I'm now a girl on a mission to get the lot.
or you could call this post ... that's a better effort.
I just wasn't happy with the first one, it just looked uncoordinated and messy. So I took off the flower and started again. Admit it, how many times have you done that?
So this is another 6 x 6" card.
Stamps used: Diamond pattern and swirl are Babies, Hearts & Borders sheet and Flowers & Swirls sheet and French Letter (Stamp Oasis).
Inks and EP's: Jet Black StazOn; Violet Whispers Dye Ink; Antique Linen and Old Paper Distress Inks and Gold Acylic paint (washed over the organe pattern paper). Kalidescope & Amethyst Tinsel EP's.

I still need to re-do the UK STampers colour challenge #4, as I really am not happy with yesterday's effort - granted, it looks better irl, but still there's something about it that doesn't gel.
I have another busy day in the office tomorrow, as everything needs to cleared up ready for holidays next week - talking of which I have a list as long as my arm to get done for that too - not to mention the no clothes bit that needs to be rectified...Bluewater here I come after work on Thursday to buy urgently needed glad rags.

I've just done a quick card, which I'm waiting for the Glossy Accents to go off, but like this combo so much there will be more of them this week.
I've had a busy old day at the Kingdom of Blah, and feel a bit worn out.

just another, and very quick entry into Wednesday Stamper's turquoise challenge.
Cardstock is Bazzill pink (6 x 6 blank), then a 3" piece of turquoise cardstock from Heartwarming Vintage slab, with one the pictures from the Paper Artsy 008 sheet matted with gold, purple velvet and then chocolate brown cardstock.
The background is stamped with Penmanship (Penny Black) in Antique Linen Distress Ink, then Pressed Lacy Flower (Savvy Stamps) in Violet Whispers Dye Ink. All edges have been run over with the Antique Linen Distress Ink. Just a scrap of turquoise/pink ribbon added to the spine.
Envie that goes with the acceptance. All stamps are Aud's, the ink is my new Whispers Port Wine, and I've just used a blue pencil to colour.
I really love Aud's new stamps, especially the circle sentiments.
for Guy's brother - he's getting married again in July, and Guy feels that he has to go, so I am very reluctantly being dragged along.
Fortunately, we will only have to suffer the Registry Office service and small meal afterwards, then we can high tail it home again.....but in any event, we needed an acceptance, so I've spent a few minutes this morning knocking one up.
Card base is a 12 x 6" piece of Bazzil folded in half to make a 6 x 6" card, my new favourite card blank to make at the moment. The paper is by Sweetwater, and the stamp along the left hand edge is my new one that I got yesterday (another Do Crafts), which is stamped in the other new purchase from yesterday a Whispers Dye Ink in Port Wine. Only other stamp on this is the heart from Aud's Cat's House Sheet.
The central image is from a Paper Artsy Picture pack (008), which is just such a lovely quick way to get a central image. You get two transparencies and two pictures per pack.
We enjoyed the film I mentioned yesterday, and all three of us ended up sobbing - quite unexpected to find a sad part like that in the middle of a film (I won't spoil it for people and say what happend). It was a cracking watch, and would highly recommend it for kids about Lydia's age and adults alike.
I'm sitting here eagerly anticipated a cooked brunch, which is on the go at the moment, then we are off to watch Lydia dive a bit later on.

I am now such a practised member of this Organisation, that I can whip on my lycra flying suit and hurtle out of the door in seconds....very Aneka Rice!
I've now returned from my latest mission, and think I might have a shower, book some cinema tickets and chill for the rest of the day. We're off to see a film Lydia has been talking about called "A Bridge to Terabithia" - I don't think it's my kind of thing, but she's excited.
Personally, I can't wait to see the Magicians film with Mitchell & Webb that's due out on 18th, and I informed Guy that we are going on a date to see it.

I have had the most horrible day at the Kingdom of Blah today, and so it was lovely to get home and do a swift bit of crafting.
I made some notelets to go with the thank you card made in the week, and needed something to put them in - so I entered into hithertoo uncharted territory, and made a small box (well, that's what it ended up as, it started out as a sort of porfolio folder thingy and went a bit wrong).
Deliberately made sure that most of the contents like fibre, string and button can easily be re-used - as this is for a dear crafting friend. The notelets are really to use as a base for mini-cards or projects.
Right, off to have a bath and settle down from a dose of Dr Who and then Michell & Webb's Peep Show.

I really only popped to Tonbridge to grab the June issue of Craft Stampers, as one of the UK STamper members, Sheila who is Manicstamper, has been published in it. Well done Sheila, lovely cards.
I'm right in the middle of my UK STamper Colour Challenge #2 at the moment, so I've only just popped by briefly to say Hi.

I have to say this is the first year I am not dreading the whole ruddy thing - as hip hip horay MIL and FIL are taking her, and we get to miss it - I hate all that loving community spirit and they are in their element with it all.
I shall be staying at home and cooking dinner ready for their probably non-triumphant return - it only ever seems to be the PTA lot that win!

I have also cut out hoards of stamps, and fingers crossed that will be it in the cutting department for a week or so.
I don't think there will be in crafting going on this evening though, as I'm a bit pooped. I really need to get my contribution for the UK STamper Colour Challenge #2 done, and I've done a bit of preparation work for that. I still have my ATC kits to get done, but I keep telling myself I work under pressure, so I expect it will all be a last minute canter to the finish line - having said that I don't think I'm gonna get the Wednesday Stamper entry done this week - not unless I get my bottom into gear first thing in the morning before work.
Right....I'm off for a quick flick over to UK STampers to see what's going on there.
Night, night all.
If you're not sure what colours there are wander off to google, there is a very good gemstone site, which I think is called gemstones.org.
I also cut out the first of my Aud Design Sheets last night in bed - there are not many men whilst lying in bed that wouldn't get excited by my comment "sorry if a bit of rubber hits you in the eye love", but Guy knows me so well, and the particular rubber I'm reffering to isn't - it's just the red kind that means new stamps and no action unless it involves an ink pad!
Off to the Kingdom of Hell (oh yes, it has upgraded from Blah now) in a minute to suffer 8 hours of boredom, but I might sneek off to the local craft shop to have a look round - I promise I won't buy anything honestly.
